Clare was born and raised in Truro Cornwall until she moved with her parents and older brother to Portsmouth when she was two. She attended primary and secondary school in Horndean studying Art and Design alongside other subjects, and continued this love for art at college years later. Since finishing college she went on to meet her husband at the age of 20. Married at 23 and with two children by 26 she put her focus into being a stay at home mum to raise her daughters putting her dream of artistry to one side. Fast forward twenty years , now with two grown up children, Clare has been able to revisit her dream having self taught since leaving college.

Mainly creating realistic pieces of household animals with varieties of coloured pencils and strokes for a more defined and detailed piece of artwork, Clare has adapted her technique to include acrylic paintings of a wider selection of animals. She uses vivid colours to create an abstract and distinctive collection of canvas portraits. 

Clare now creates Handmade houses using reclaimed wood and natural materials which can be ordered from stock or commissioned for any occassion.

Clare also paints directly onto furniture as well as canvas and now offers 'Reloved' furniture which can be commissioned.
